Course Overview: Primary objectives of this course include firearm system operation (rifle, optics, equipment), fundamentals of shooting and firearm selection, and application and continuance of your acquired skill sets. This course is perfect for the complete beginner just starting their shooting or hunting journey, or even an experienced shooter who wants a refresher and new techniques to improve their skills and confidence. Shooters will complete the course with confidence in their ability to safely handle firearms, and to make an accurate shot in nearly any circumstance. Expect to shoot 200+ rounds between all ranges.
Price includes use of BRC precision firearms, and all field equipment. Ammunition purchase is additional, based on consumption.

Course Overview: This intensive course is the next step for our Precision Shooter Course graduates who want to advance their shooting skills or prepare for a specific upcoming hunting trip. Learn how to engage targets in low light, steep angles, wind or adverse weather conditions and in difficult terrain, utilizing Kestrels and other advanced technology to extend your maximum effective range. This course will also improve critical and realistic hunting skills such as target acquisition, communicating with your guide or spotter, follow-up shots, and use of field gear to adapt and overcome improvised shooting positions. You will spend most of your time at our Steel Safari range, shooting at life-size wildlife targets in real-world hunting situations. Shooters may bring their own personal rifles and optics systems or rent a rifle and purchase ammunition at the ranch.
If you have not taken our Precision Hunter Course, but have completed a similar training course elsewhere, you may be eligible to upgrade to this course. Our instructors will make the decision prior to deposit being paid. Price does not include range rifle rental.
If bringing personal firearm, your rifle must be suppressor-ready

Course Overview: This is the next step for our Pro-Hunter Course graduates who want to refresh or advance their shooting and hunting skills, or prepare for a specific upcoming hunt. Focus is on ensuring your equipment is properly setup and ready for use, “dialing your D.O.P.E,” and getting comfortable in improvised shooting positions. Bring your full kit (gear) that you plan to take on your hunt. Your outfitter will thank you (and us) for going the extra mile to prepare for your hunt!
If you need help selecting the correct gear applicable to upcoming adventures, send us the recommended packing lists from your outfitters and we will assist you with selection and purchase of gear and firearm system. Advance planning required for the latter service, minimum 90 days from hunt start.

Course Overview: This course combines 1.5 days of intense Precision Shooter training with 2.5 days of hunting for cow elk. The hunt portion will be practical application of your coursework, as you and your professional guides venture afield in pursuit of cow elk. Guiding will be 2 hunters per guide. This is an excellent course if you are curious about how to get into hunting, and sourcing your own protein. Range firearm rental and gear included, or bring your own suppressor-capable rifle.
Requires successful draw of cow elk license for GMU 31. License cost is extra. Deadline to book this course: April 2, 2025
Experience level: valid Hunter Education card from any state, Canadian Province, or foreign country, or a Colorado Apprentice Hunter Certificate is required for application in limited license draw. No other experience required. First time hunters please sign up! We will assist with all applications & steps.
This course is a pre-requisite for all other ranch big game hunts, and the best way to be added to our waiting list.

Course Overview: This one day intensive classroom plus range-based course is designed to teach you the what, when, where, why, and how of carrying a firearm for personal protection. This course can also satisfy the new Colorado law requiring existing CCW permit holders to pass a “refresher class” as part of the renewal process. Colorado CCW certification has reciprocity in 35 other states (some restrictions apply). To be certified, participants must achieve a passing score on a written concealed handgun competency exam and in the live-fire exercise. Observers are welcome to visit the ranch for R&R and other activities while course is taking place. Observer rates apply. Guests are also welcome to book this as a private course add-on to a current package stay. Maximum of 16 participants.
