Adventures at the Ranch
Our guided Ranch Adventures program offers guests the opportunity to experience life on the ranch, and to learn skills from professional guides. Book a minimum 2-night stay and enjoy our inclusive activity package! One session of the following on-site guided adventure activities is included per day, per guest, in your overall price package. A second guided activity, or any of the a la carte activities, are at the rate listed per option.
Shooting Sports
Rifle, Pistol, Carbine, and Shotgun (Sporting clays): Learn how to accurately operate a variety of firearms at our unrivaled
shooting venues. Our guides and instructors will provide a safe and fun learning experience for all members of your family or group.
Minimum age of 10 for rifle/shotgun, age 13+ for pistol shooting; minors under 18 years require parental supervision.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Difficulty level: easy to moderate.
Archery
Learn to shoot a recurve bow on our Olympic Style course, then challenge your group to a Wild West Sporting Arrows shootout! Our foam disc target thrower is a crowd favorite, and the perfect group activity. We also offer a realistic 3-D archery target walking course. All archery shooting stations are located near the main Lodge and Guesthouse, making for easy outdoor adventures to add at any time. Ages 6+.
Difficulty level: easy to moderate.
Horseback Riding
Enjoy a relaxing trail ride through our scenic and wildlife-rich canyon on our gentle ranch horses. Trail riders must have previous riding experience. Beginners can
improve their riding skills in our arena before progressing to the trail.
Minimum age of 10 for trail rides. Children ages 2-9 years can meet and ride horses in corral or setting. Helmets provided for all riders. Difficulty level: moderate.
4x4 Ranch Tours
Explore the “backroads” of the ranch in a comfortable jeep or side-by-side, taking in the grandeur of the landscape and viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. Your guide will narrate a history of the ranch, visiting key points of interest and photographic opportunities.
Half-day Canyon Tour, and a full day Ranch Safari Tour are available.

Fishing
Cast a line in our four pristine, stream-fed lakes teeming with rainbow, cutbow, brown, and tiger trout. Orchard and Buckhorn lakes are located near the lodge , and equipment is available at all times for guests. Our Upper Canyon Lakes are designated fly-fishing only and our guides will assist at no extra charge. No fishing license needed, and most lakes are catch and release.
Minimum recommended age: 8 years, all ages with supervision.
Difficulty level: easy to moderate.
Knife & Axe Throwing
This is an exciting activity that is quickly gaining popularity to become a global phenomenon. Our knife and axe throwing station is located next to our Lodge and conference room, which makes it a quick and easy activity during meeting break time. This is a complimentary activity, but does require guided supervision for safety reasons. Minimum age 12; parent/guardian must be present at all times.

For The Kids
We offer fun kids crafts sessions, adventure hikes, and short excursions surrounding the lodge. Your child will benefit the most just being able to “unplug” and run wild, paddle the lake (lifejackets are provided), learn about the fish and wildlife living at the ranch, hear stories about the pioneers who settled the area, make s’mores over the campfire, and connect with nature. We do not offer a child-care program, we encourage children and parents to experience life-long memories together.
Golf
Deer, eagles, and wild turkey will be your spectators as you swing away on our golf driving range. You are welcome to bring your own clubs, or use ours, in child size through adult. Our range promotes exercise, as you are also the official ball retriever!
Difficulty level: easy to moderate…depending on the golfer.
Wine Tasting
Tantalize your senses with an exquisite selection of wines from our award-winning vineyards of La Follette, Quivira, and Torbreck.
Several of our labels consistently score 91 or better.
All tastings are paired with a delightful selection of hors d'oeuvres. Served on our patio, lakeside, or at our mountain-top gazebo, weather dependent. Age requirement: 21+
Jet Boat Tour on the Colorado River
Experience a thrilling one-hour ride in a custom New Zealand style jet boat through breathtaking Colorado River canyon scenery! Sit back and let the expert drivers show you the best time you have ever had on the river. This activity is a 35 minute drive from our main lodge. Up to 10 passengers per tour. This a la carte activity is at the rate of $175 per person, including shuttle ride from ranch and professional photo package.
Ages 5+. Difficulty level: easy.
Spa & Fitness Center
Being out in nature is very relaxing, but why stop there? Our spa specialists can help you unwind and rejuvenate with a relaxing massage, or melt your cares away in our sauna and steam room. "Pamper Packages" featuring manicures, pedicures, and hair care can also be arranged.
Located on the basement floor of the lodge near the Spa, our fitness center offers a multitude of exercise equipment for use at any time.
